Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita has announced an extensive seven-month-long transformation project. As such, it will pause operations temporarily, starting March 31, 2025. The resort, which opened in 2008, is owned by Riveo Hospitality Ltd., and will welcome guests in early November following the update.
Located on the lush east coast of Mauritius, between the turquoise lagoon and the Bambou Mountains, the resort prepares to embark on a renovation journey to blend the coastal lifestyle and tropical elegance in its 26-acre landscape. The project will be led by the London-based 1508 London design team and includes a major upgrade of the interiors and the spa. Starting March 31, construction will begin, elevating the property by bringing in more light, earthy tones, textured fabrics and natural elements inspired by its tropical surroundings. Plans also call for new restaurant and bar concepts, as well as enhanced wellness and conservation initiatives.
“The renovation of Four Seasons Mauritius at Anahita has been a deeply rewarding journey for our Dubai studio,” comments Hamish Brown, partner at 1508 London. “We approached the project with a commitment to celebrating the location and culture of Mauritius, while delivering the luxury experience that guests expect from the Four Seasons brand. Every detail of the design was carefully crafted to create a sophisticated and immersive retreat that balances the natural beauty of the surroundings with refined elegance. We are confident this transformation will cement the resort’s reputation as one of Mauritius’ most sought-after luxury destinations.”
