Japan’s Rosewood Miyakojima Now Accepting Reservations

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has announced that its first Japanese property, Rosewood Miyakojima, is accepting reservations ahead of its opening on March 1, 2025.

Located amid sugarcane fields in the north of Miyako Island and overlooking Oura Bay with direct access to a beach, the resort has 55 guest accommodations including beachfront and ocean view villas, plus three houses spanning over 2,150 square feet, all framing views of Miyakojima’s waters. The resort will also have four restaurants and bars spanning Japanese and international cuisine, an infinity pool by the beach and an Asaya Spa, complete with six treatment rooms, a yoga studio and fitness center. A private pavilion overlooking the ocean will house weddings and special occasions, while families will find enriching experiences at the Rosewood Explorers Club.

Rosewood Miyakojima’s culinary outlets include CHOMA, which offers a refined take on the destination’s seasonal harvest; YUKUU, the poolside bar; MAAS, which focuses on seafood and simple ingredients; and NAGI, offering an all-day Italian dining experience.

Rosewood Miyakojima will also offer guests a variety of activities to connect with the local culture and explore the island, from calligraphy with a local artist to snorkeling over coral reefs and meeting sea turtles. Conservation and respect for the land is at the heart of the resort’s experiences offering, with educational programs led by environmental and marine ecology experts, providing a fulfilling experience for both adults and children.

Deal: In celebration of the grand opening, Rosewood Miyakojima is offering an introductory package for stays from March 1 to August 31 2025. The offer includes daily breakfast for two adults, ¥20,000 (approximately $130.34) credit for villa bookings or ¥50,000 (approximately $325.85) for house bookings, access to the fitness center and early check-in and late check-out, subject to availability.
