Situated within the former Palace of Justice, which was built in 1665, Rosewood Amsterdam is now accepting reservations ahead of its opening on June 1. This property marks the brand’s debut in the Netherlands, and will be the last new hotel development permitted within a monumental building in Amsterdam.
Situated on the UNESCO World Heritage-listed canals, the property houses 134 guestrooms and suites, along with five signature suites, many offering views of the canals, courtyards and classic townhouse rooftops. Guests will enjoy a collection of dining options, including three restaurants and bars, as well as an in-house distillery.
Designed by Studio Piet Boon, the interiors of Rosewood Amsterdam honor the building’s heritage with a modern take on Dutch craftsmanship. The building’s original features, such as cellblocks and courtrooms, have been restored and updated for a unique guest experience. Guests can also enjoy the city’s canals on a private salon boat, styled and decorated by Studio Piet Boon.
Good to know: The property’s 2,400-square-foot ballroom is well-suited to host a range of events, while the public areas sport intricate design elements that honor the storied past of the building and its surroundings. Other facilities include an Asaya Spa, fitness center and indoor pool.
Tip: The hotel offers insights into Dutch culture through curated experiences including art, cultural programming, retail, design and more.
