Villa Santa Cruz, the 24-room beachfront resort in Todos Santos, Baja California Sur, has unveiled a property-wide transformation. The renovations encompass significant enhancements across the property, including new oceanfront tented ocean suites and resort accommodations, new group and meeting spaces at its Main Villa, new dining and farm experiences, equestrian stables and onsite programming from beachfront yoga to stargazing.
Offering five categories of accommodations, Villa Santa Cruz has unveiled new room types, including Bungalows, Rooftop Villas, North Villa Suites, Main Villa Rooms and Tented Ocean Suites, bringing the total to 24 ocean view guestrooms and suites. The Main Villa, the first building on the property, preserves the original character of a traditional hacienda, while bringing forth a relaxed vibe with beachfront luxury.
The eight Rooftop Villas offer spacious accommodations with each casita-style suite with a private rooftop, complete with a hot tub and fire pit. The new Tented Ocean Suites provide a glamping-inspired retreat with oceanfront locations and beach access, each with its own sand fire pit.
The property has also collaborated with a local art gallery, Cuatrosie7e Galería, in Oaxaca, to spotlight and promote the works of Mexican artists. Each of the custom art pieces are all on display and for sale at Villa Santa Cruz, decorating the guestrooms and common areas.
Located within the farm and agave field, the property’s newest open-air restaurant, Caracara, welcomes both hotel guests and locals with its outdoor kitchen, grill and wood-fire pizza oven. Caracara welcomes both hotel guests and locals to savor dishes and cocktails of traditional Mexican flavors and seasonal produce. Guests can also enjoy handcrafted cocktails from the new Farm Bar. To celebrate the opening of this new dining concept, Villa Santa Cruz has launched “Fridays at the Farm,” a weekly event with complementary appetizers, welcome drink and live music.
At The Green Room, a culinary concept located right on the beach, guests can enjoy Mexican seafood as they sip citrus-infused mezcalitas that utilize The Green Room’s new private-label Mezcal, an artisanal, small batch and additive-free spirit that imbues smoky notes to the restaurant’s signature cocktails.
Guests have the option to explore the property and destination of Todos Santos with both on-site and off-site activities.
At the refreshed equestrian stables and arena, guests can opt for a horseback riding experience, starting on property grounds and heading through the beach communities of northern Todos Santos. Guests will be provided with a customized coaching session ahead of the experience, and can choose from a variety of excursions including a 90-minute morning ride, 90-minute Green Room Sunset Ride, five-hour Desert Ride, and 90-minute Full Moon Ride.
Guests can also enjoy a lineup of interactive offerings including guided Farm Tours, offering insight into the fresh produce and ingredients utilized in the farm-to-fork menus. Guests can visit the fruit and vegetable gardens, olive groves, agave field and even get a behind-the-scenes look at the beekeeping program.
Villa Santa Cruz offers its outdoor Massage Nest with signature spa treatments, sound bathing as well as beachfront yoga and fitness classes. Guests can also head to the new pickleball or bocce ball courts.
Nighttime resort programming includes stargazing at the observatory or a beach bonfire complete with sips and s’mores. Off-property, the concierge can make private arrangements for excursions like kayaking, whale watching tours, surf lessons, and more.
The lineup of new event spaces at the resort include the main lawn with ocean views or the patio located adjacent to the property’s mangrove and equestrian area, complete with a fountain, along with views of the farm and nearby pond.
