Purple Ski Revamps Chalet in Méribel, Unveils Springtime Ski Offers

Purple Ski has unveiled a range of enhancements for Méribel’s Chalet Iona for the 2025 ski season. The partial refurbishment includes spacious master suites, new bathrooms and a “kids corner” alcove with cabin-style bunk beds.

A mere 15-minute drive to the main lifts, ski school and après ski activities, Méribel’s Chalet Iona offers views across 13 villages and settlements, stretching towards the Vanoise National Park and the Grand Bec mountain. The property is situated at the edge of the mid-17th century hamlet of Le Villard, where the old chapel, bread oven and freshwater well are still very much in evidence.

Chalet Iona’s bedrooms have been remodeled to provide three primary suites, one of which includes a bunk niche, providing plenty of room for the whole family. The lower bunk has swish velvet curtains, with the beds large enough to accommodate teens or adults for additional flexibility. Each primary bedroom’s en-suite bathroom has been remodeled to include a bathtub, double shower and more. Elsewhere, the property has two additional double bedrooms, including one with balcony access.

The entrance of the property opens into a large living and dining area with a suspended fireplace. The space is kitted out with vintage Danish furniture and a handmade oak dining table close to the large windows. A second living room on the lower level with board games, a large-screen TV and an extensive selection of old-school vinyl records are on offer for guests to enjoy, along with a sauna and outdoor hot tub.

Chalet Iona also has an annex property for use—Chalet India, offering an additional den for teens, an annex for friends and extended family or a secluded space for work.

In addition, Purple Ski has announced a range of spring offers at Chalet Iona and across the portfolio elsewhere in Méribel, Courchevel and Val d’Isère. At Chalet Iona, those booking to stay during the week commencing March 2 can enjoy a 15 percent discount—a saving of over €4,000 (approximately $4,168)—with 10 percent off stays beginning March 16 and 23. Additional savings are available at Chalet Margaux, Courchevel and Chalet Lapin Blanc, Courchevel, Chalet Harmony in Méribel, Chalet Inoko and Chalet Machapuchare in Val d’Isère, across various dates throughout the spring.

Guests of Purple Ski enjoy a freshly prepared breakfast and afternoon tea each day along with dinner (six evenings out of seven) prepared by a private chef. Wines and unlimited champagne are also on offer. All chalets have access to a full team of staff, daily housekeeping, an in-chalet ski and boot fitting service, a private chauffeured minibus, as well as concierge service.
